The obvious way to become a morning person is by getting more sleep. If you get 7-9 hours of sleep, you will wake up the next day feeling much more rested because, well, you are.

Create a routine - go to bed at around the same time every night and set your alarm for the same time every morning, your body will start to adjust to the pattern and accept it.

While it may be nice to lay in bed after waking up, this extends your grogginess. When you wake up, leave your bedroom, turn on lights, and do some sort of physical or mental activity.
